BRIDAL STYLES TO MATH THE BRIDAL DRESS

CHOOSING A STYLE TO COMPLIMENT THE DRESS.

I always recommend my brides choose their hairstyle once they have chosen their dress. Your hair should compliment the silhouette and neckline of you dress.

SWEETHEART

The sweetheart works with just about anything, so if you’re indecisive about your hair this style gives you plenty of options. From messy buns, glam pony’s, half-up half-down to long and wavy styles. The sweetheart gives you have the freedom to curl away and let those locks flow wherever they want.

STRAIGHT

Fashion is your forte. These dresses tend to be very runway chic and structured. I recommend hairstyle’s that’s just as sleek as the dress. Try a pulled back look either in a modern ponytail or low bun. A Hollywood is also a firm favourite of mine for a straight neckline.

V NECK

The v neck tends to look absolutely gorgeous with hair down. Long or medium length, a down and wavy hairdo should do the trick.

SCOOP

Match that drama with a low bun on the nape of the neck or a half-up half-down style that lays on the back.

HALTER NECK

The halter looks stunning with loose braids or classic bridal buns. Allowing little interruption to the halter necktie.

OFF THE SHOULDER

If there is allot of beading or lace on the upper part of the bodice where the neckline is you may opt for a hair up. Many brides who have more plain bodices tend to go opposite and ask for a down style.

ILLUSION

This dress varies on which hairstyle looks the best. If your illusion neckline is embellished you may want to pull the hair up into a top bun. If your illusion neckline is just sheer and mainly there for structural purposes, feel free to cover it up with a long straight or wavy hairstyle. Hollywood waves or a glam pony are seen the most with illusion dresses.

Those are only what I have taken from my experience; brides with those dresses tend to opt for those styles. However it’s your hair, your day and its what you make it. There is so much to consider, you may have a themed wedding or have your heart set on a loose boho braid no matter the dress because simply that is just your style. . Any dress can go with any style if you really want it that way. Don’t let this list limit your possibilities.

Just remember to ask yourself what hairstyle makes you feel fabulous and go with that.
