WHAT EVER THE WEATHER

When it comes to creating that perfect wedding hairstyle, you need to plan for all eventualities. Wind, rain, humidity, snow and even just the copious amount of dancing that may take place. You need something that will stay put no matter what.

My 5 favorite tips for making your hair look amazing come wind rain, sweat or shine.

1. PREPARATION IS KEY.

If you know your summer wedding is most likely going to be hot or humid it’s important to start prepping your hair for this ASAP. If your hair is dry you will be encouraging fly-always and frizz on your big day as it's extremely absorbent, so make sure it's moisturised beforehand. Using a good deep conditioning treatment and/or a serum in the lead-up to your big day will help ensure your hair is as strong and can handle the heat.

2. OPT FOR AN UPDO.

If you’re concerned about wind, rain or humidity, an up-do might make your life a whole lot easier. You are less likely to touch your hair if it’s down all day, which can cause unwanted frizz and greasiness. If your heart is set on falling locks, a half up half down is a perfect way to keep your hair down yet having the added benefits of an up do and ensuring you are less likely to worry and touch your hair all day, Add some face framing curls and you are good to go.

3. HAIR PRODUCTS

The right hair products can keep your hair in place and looking perfect all day. Using high quality products that offer the balance of strength and flexibility will get the job done.

4. TRIAL YOUR STYLE

Booking a trial will allow you to road test your hairstyle before your big day. You will gain a clear idea of if your style works for you. If your getting married in summer I suggest going for a walk after your trial to see how your hair copes in the heat.

5. TOP UP KIT.

Pack yourself an emergency hair kit. You can include everything from bobby pins & hairspray through to a sparkly bridal headband. Having these handy to show me before hand I can show you and your bridesmaids how to fix your hair just in case. You may not even need any of this stuff on the day, but knowing it’s, there will give you a sense of reassurance that money can’t buy.
